If you are going to test the 2013 Range Rover Sport, test it! Let us not forget where the bar has been set!
I love the old Land Rovers, and who can forget the icon of Overlanding, the Defender 110? The Camel Trophy Stamped Land Rover into history with a steel die. I recently went to the 2013 Auto show in San Francisco, and bolted straight to the Toyota display. Guess what? No Land Cruiser. I Half-jogged to the Land Rover display and found grocery-getters and wife-transports. Aaaaaah! So this article caught my attention. Would this ride make it to the top of Slick-Rock trail? Would it crawl over the pits and valleys of the Rubico Trail? After watching the review, I have no idea. I want to see someone actually test this thing! I saw some impressive features.

What I can declare with certainty is that this ride will crawl over rocks literally 6” high! WOW! The rig was never Off-Road (for the purpose of clarity, I do not consider dirt roads “off-road”. It has “road” in the name).
This review will make owners who commute from suburbia to silicon valley feel tough, but it does not prove the capability of the vehicle. Joe-suit-and-tie (hey, I wear one too at times), may even double eyebrow twitch at you as the Rover lifts itself 1.5″ to “Extreme Off Road” mode. YES!
This is a Land Rover!
When testing the new Land Rovers, let’s not forget where the bar has been set! A few trees, a dirt road and ripping guitar does not Extreme Off-Road make.
