Looking for recommendations - Roll up kitchen utensil storage

not sure if this is something you're interested in, but costco has these gsi kits for sale. i got one in store for $45. mainly i'm kind of tired of having a random mix of kitchen gear in a little plastic tote. this is a little more organized and more compact. used it on my last trip and i...

    Questions on a "Budget build"

i agree with the axle comment, seems like the 3500 lb dexter axle is a good axle to go with that is easily available and lots of people have used them. when researching, i heard a lot of stories where the 2000 lb axles were weak and bearings didn't last long. i did look at timbren suspension...

    15" tire recs ?

i went with these general grabber a/tx all season tires. the tread looks very similar to bfg all terrain ko2's and the generals are cheaper. i decided to do all terrain tires not so much for the tread being all season, but more so that the way the all seasons are built on the side walls seem a...

Ratchet Ranglers - Pouches for ratchet straps

I got an email from OB that they have a code for a 35% discount on these Ratchet Ranglers. I like the idea of having a simple pouch to put ratchet straps in to help keep them more organized and not a rats nest of straps everywhere. Anyone on here use them yet? Also, if any of you want the OB...

    My build.

are those jeep fenders on the trailer? if so, that's a great job of repurpose use of them. this is a pretty cool little trailer.

    Map Book

i think depending on the regions you want to go, you might find similar books, but i love the one i have for out here in CA. it gives you a better idea of what to expect on the trails and other trails in the area.

    Camping Rake

fyi, the rake i ordered finally showed up after a month and a half (was shipped from china, hence the long delivery time) and the one i got does not have a telescoping handle. the rake part spreads out just fine, but the handle is short. i'll keep it and use it, but having a longer handle...

What’s the vibe here with Overland Bound?

lol, i get the complete opposite with my mercedes gl450. people scratch their heads wondering why i put all terrains on and go off road. i'm not rock crawling it, but i do go out on some cool trails that i'm comfortable with. we're probably on a similar frame of mind where you want something...

What’s the vibe here with Overland Bound?

welcome to OB, its pretty relaxed here. i've only found helpful people here, seems like most people here avoid the BS that you see elsewhere.

    Camping Rake

i'm still waiting on the one in the amazon link. it didn't indicate it on amazon until the order went through and i got the shipping notification, but its being shipped from china. its the same rake as my friends though. i think it worked good, but you have to be slightly more gentle with it...

    Camping Rake

exactly, its amazing the amount of bugs you see after raking up dead leaves. the other thing out here is pine needles and of course my dog loves to lay down anywhere, so i get worried about tree sap with the pine needles. sucks having to clean sap out of the fur.

    Modular cargo conversion

nice. i was gonna ask you if you came up with a good solution for a screen door on your trailer? i would like to do something, but the most practical thing i keep coming back to is to do a frameless panel with either snap buttons on the inside of the door frame or velcro. would be nice to get...

    Modular cargo conversion

the nice thing is, with a trailer, you can disconnect it and keep your camping spot while you drive to different areas. places like yellowstone, that helps out tremendously. i can only imagine what life is like trying to drive a big rv through the park in summer.

    Modular cargo conversion

i agree on the modular part, its nice knowing that you can really get your money's worth out of the trailer when it serves multiple purposes. for the pillows, one thing i did was get a bungee cargo net for the back of cars, but i have it in the overhead. when not in use, my pillows go up there...

    Interstate 5x8 Enclosed Multi-Use Trailer

i went with these for now and plan on using some leveling blocks to make up for any gaps that they don't reach to the ground. i'm working on exactly how to mount them, and i got a few ideas, but i'll need to actually go out there with the jacks and mock them up to see if my ideas work. if i...

    Interstate 5x8 Enclosed Multi-Use Trailer

i haven't done a huge amount of work on the trailer this year, but i did paint the walls a little different color. i went with an off white that has a little tan to it, so almost the color of egg nog. looks decent, and the best part is that it was an "oops mix" at home depot so it only cost...
