Thinking about what to pack, do I need to bring my chainsaw? I dont mind bringing it but I am always keen to leave any gear that is not essential.

I am checking with my wife. It was a bit of a push for her to get out by noon so if we need to add another 30 min to get to Medical Lake it might be tight. If need be we can trail behind its OK, I am sporting a 50 watt radio now so coms shouldn't be a problem.

I reached out to FS office in charge of the site to ask if it would be available by the 26th. The website does not specificly say it is closed just that the open season is May-late October.

I can head up mid day Friday. I would be coming out of the Spokane Valley if anyone wants to rally.

Are we giving ourselves enough time on Friday? As the Google crow flies we are looking at just shy of 6 hours of drive time, with a group that time could expand.

Thanks for the invite but I have a previous engagement this weekend. Should be a good trip for you, that is a fun area. I have not been up there in years.
